Calling Features

Check out what Rogers Home Phone offers:

Anonymous Caller Rejection: great when used with Caller ID, this feature lets you reject calls from any number that's programmed not to appear on your phone's display.

Call Return- Busy automatically redials the number of the last outgoing call by entering *66; if the number you're redialing is busy, Busy Call Return will monitor the line for 30 minutes and alert you with a special ring when your line and the line you're redialing are both free.

Call Return - Last lets you return the last incoming call (whether you answered or missed it) by entering *69; if the number you call back is busy, Last Call Return will alert you with a special ring when your line and the line you're calling back are both free.

Call Display: displays the 10-digit number of the last incoming caller; after the second ring, the caller's name and number is displayed on a compatible telephone.

Call Display Blocking: allows you to prevent your name and number from appearing on the called party's Caller ID or display set.

Call Forwarding: allows you to redirect all incoming calls to an alternate telephone number.

Call Screen: lets you block calls from up to 12 numbers you don't wish to receive calls from. An announcement informs the caller that you are not receiving their calls at this time.

Call Waiting: alerts you to incoming calls while your line is in use.

Distinctive Ring/SimpleBiz Fax Feature: lets you have up to three (3) additional telephone numbers assigned to a single line and provides up to four (4) distinctive ringing tones. It's not an extra line, but a feature that allows the telephone to ring differently. You can assign a distinctive ring to your fax machine so that your phone line will be able to distinguish regular calls from incoming faxes.

Extension Mailboxes: lets you or other family members create up to 3 separate - and completely private Voice Mailboxes.

Outcall Notification: keeps you connected at all times by immediately alerting you - via your pager or another phone number - that you have a Voice Mail message waiting.

Private Name Display: lets you block your name from appearing on the called party's Caller ID or display set; this feature will display "Private Name" instead of your name, but your number will still appear.

Speed Calling: lets you speed-call up to 30 different numbers by assigning a two-digit dial code to frequently called numbers.

Three Way Calling: allows you to have a conference call with two other parties at different numbers; you can initiate calls to both parties or add another party to an established call.

Visual Call Waiting: displays the name and number of your incoming callers, letting you choose whether to answer the incoming call or stay on the line with your first caller.

Voice Mail: answers all incoming calls when you're unable to answer the telephone, taking your messages when you're in, out or already on the phone.

Voice Mail Deluxe: more features than basic Voice Mail; Voice Mail Deluxe provides increased message storage, longer personal greetings, increased number of distribution lists that can be created, and more.

Line Protect: In the event a problem occurs, the Line Protect maintenance plan lets you avoid expenses such as $85.00 (minimum charge) for a Rogers professional technician repair visit
